The psychometric properties and norm data of the Norwegian military personality inventory (NMPI)

Because this, new brief personality assessment tool has been developed by the Armed Forces. This study aims to uncover properties 50-item military inventory (NMPI-50) establish norm data use. was administered 2002 cohort 17-year olds (N = 54,355), analyzed factor analysis, graded response models tests gender invariance. NMPI-50 showed satisfactory internal consistency, yielded high information across broad range traits, conformed bi-factor one general specific factors. positively associated motivation service, indicating some bias. openness scale less clearly psychometrically defined, compared other scales, both extroversion show evidence multidimensionality. also scalar invariance between genders except scale. Overall, results support use personnel research.
